What is it?

The Buddies works as a platform for businesses to interact with other businesses to promote their goods and services.

Still to come: We are currently looking at setting up a blog facility for members, and should be online soon. We are also looking at video options for members although this may be dependant upon demand.

Businesses that could benefit from this service could be:

-          Hotels offering services to businesses such as conference facilities and meeting rooms, etc...

-          Businesses offering service to the public and private sector.

-          Artists, designers and others in the creative arts seeking a platform to display their work to the business sector.

Features include:

Referral form

The referral form only appears once you have logged in. It will not appear on your own profile, only on the profiles you visited.

Gallery

Manage your own gallery displaying up to 20 images to your artwork/samples/property.

Document upload: Upload your own documents. This could be pricelists,           files/brochures, etc...

Files type  include pdfs, word docs and text files.

Clan creation

Create your own clan and invite others to join. Once created clan members, you can communicate with each other and arrange a physical meeting to further pursue their buddy connections to develop stronger business ties.

Buddy activity

To encourage the vivacity of your profile, the buddy activity displays the most recent activity from buddy members, such as uploading new images, recent visits, etc...

Private messaging

Private messaging exists from within the buddies to enhance communication between users directly from within the buddies itself.

Events

If your business is holding a promotional event or you simply want to bring an event to the other members' attention, your event can be displayed within your profile page.

Connections

Build connections with other members outside of your clan. This could be members based outside of your geographical location you do business with because they have a service which compliments your business.

Map

The large map displays all members of the buddies displaying your location with a direction option to your location. There is an option to remove your location from the map should you wish to.

User info displays your visits and number of visits

Invite

Invite business connections to join and immediately set up Buddy connections. You can add contacts from Gmail, Hotmail, Aol, Yahoo, and from social networking sites such as Facebook, Linked In, My space etc..

Tweets

Tweet directly from your Buddy profile and have a tweet conversation using the tweetsboard tab at the side of the page. Furthermore we are implementing an Auto Tweet for your blogs and profile, so that when you add to your blog or profile a tweet is automatically sent to Twitter.
